Exploring the Faithfulness of God

This Quarter’s Focus: The Attributes of GodAt RWC Sunday School, our new quarter started with a powerful and comforting truth: God is Faithful. Through stories, activities, and discussions, our children are learning that God’s character is unchanging—and His promises never fail. This Week’s Lesson: God Provides in the WildernessScripture Focus: Exodus 16This week, our students explored how God remained faithful to the Israelites during their journey through the wilderness. Even when the people grumbled in hunger and fear, God responded with patience and provision. He sent manna from heaven, ensuring that every family had enough to eat each day. Through this story, the children learned: God hears our needs and responds with love. God’s faithfulness doesn’t depend on our actions—He is always true to His promises.Just as He provided for the Israelites, God provides for us today. Learning Outcome:• Gratitude and Trust: To express gratitude for God’s provision and learn to thank Him for meeting our daily needs.• Understanding Obedience : when God gives instructions, it is important to obey them, as He knows what is best for us. ✨ What We Did in Class Story Time : We read and acted out the journey of the Israelites, bringing Exodus 16 to life.Discussion : Kids shared times they’ve seen God provide in their own lives.Games : We played fun filled manna and a glue game of collecting Manna with kids assuming that they are in the wilderness and collecting manna for the day that God has provided. Memory Verse:  2 Timothy 2:13If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself. Psalms 138:8The Lord will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O Lord, endures forever; Do not forsake the works of Your hands.

Are You a Cheerful Giver?

We had an incredible start to the week with a meaningful topic: ” Are You a Cheerful Giver? ” The Bible portion from Luke 21:1-4 – The Widow’s Mite set the foundation for our Sunday school session. The day began with an engaging and thought-provoking activity titled, ” Who Gets the Real Joy: The Receiver or the Giver? ” Our kids eagerly participated in the practical game, which helped them understand the deeper joy found in giving. Through this, they discovered the best part of being generous and learned the key difference between an offering and a sacrifice. Here are the key learning outcomes they took home:  It’s not about how much we give, but how we give.  It’s not just an offering, but a sacrifice.  Give the best to God, not the leftovers. The children grasped that true generosity is measured by the heart and the sacrifice behind the gift—not the amount given. The widow’s small offering was more valuable in God’s eyes because it reflected her total trust and devotion. Despite her poverty, she gave all she had, demonstrating profound faith and reliance on God. Her example inspires kids to trust God fully, even when they feel they have little. See you all next week with interesting topic!

How should Christians, especially those in leadership, approach Humor ?

Equipped “How should Christians, especially those in leadership, approach humor?” Guided by Ephesians 5:4, the discussion focused on how humor can be a tool for building others up (Ephesians 4:29) while avoiding obscenity, foolish talk, and coarse jesting. The group emphasized the importance of maintaining a Christ-like example, being mindful of how humor impacts others, and ensuring it aligns with our calling to holiness. The session provided valuable insights on how leaders can use humor responsibly while remaining faithful to biblical principles. Parables of Jesus Opening Notes: “Why Parables?” The session began with an introduction to why Jesus taught in parables—using simple stories to reveal profound spiritual truths. The discussion emphasized how parables require spiritual discernmentand encourage believers to seek deeper understanding. Parable of “The Heart of Man” (Mark 7:14-23) The teaching focused on Jesus’ words about what truly defiles a person. Rather than external actions, it is the condition of the heartthat determines a person’s purity before God. The discussion emphasized the importance of guarding our hearts, being aware of sinful tendencies, and seeking transformation through Christ. Both sessions encouraged deep reflection on how we align our hearts and actions with God’s Word. We look forward to next month’s sessions as we continue growing together in wisdom and faith!

“Relationship” between the famous Twins, Jacob and Esau.

This week at RWC Sunday school, we explored an engaging story from the Bible about the ‘ Relationship ’ between the famous twins, Jacob and Esau. Our focus was on Genesis 25:19-34 and 27:1-46 , where we learned about Esau and Jacob’s dynamic and how Esau despised his birthright. From this story, we discovered five valuable lessons for children: God keeps His promise in spite of man’s wrongdoings. Always strive to do the right thing and make good choices. Do not take for granted the privileges that God has given you. Deception is wrong and leads to hurt and anger. God works His plans through all kinds of people, no matter their flaws. Through the story, we highlighted how family relationships are precious. Kids learned that nurturing, forgiving, and repairing relationships are key to peace and love. Esau’s forgiveness of Jacob showed us the beauty of letting go of resentment. Even when mistakes happen, God’s grace can redeem situations, reminding us to always trust in His plan. These lessons sparked meaningful discussions about values like honesty, patience, forgiveness, and the importance of Relationships. 🌟 We look forward to seeing you all next week as we continue learning new stories and lessons in Sunday school.

A Week of Inspiration with Our Little Champs!

This past Sunday, we had another incredible and energetic week with our Little Champs, where we focused on a special lesson from the Bible: ”Little Ones from the Bible.” The children learned about the life of Timothy, a young boy from Lystra, raised by his mother Eunice and grandmother Lois. Timothy’s name means “To honor God,” and he truly lived a life that reflected his name. As we delved into his story, the children discovered how the Apostle Paul mentored Timothy during his youth. Through this, we explored five key lessons Paul shared with Timothy that continue to resonate today: Even though we are young, we can pray for everyone.1 Timothy 2:1-2 (Pray for all people, including leaders, and for peaceful living.) You are never too young to learn Scripture.2 Timothy 3:15 (Deepen your understanding of God’s word.) Age doesn’t limit your spiritual maturity.1 Timothy 4:12 (Set an example for others in speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity.) Learn from others.1 Timothy 1:2 (Follow the guidance of spiritual elders.) Honor God.1 Timothy 1:17 (Put God first, live according to His word, serve others, and do good work.) Summary of the Discussion: These five powerful lessons were shared with our kids, reminding them that age is no barrier to living a godly life. We hope this seed has been deeply planted in their hearts and will continue to grow.
