Are You a Cheerful Giver?

We had an incredible start to the week with a meaningful topic: ” Are You a Cheerful Giver? ” The Bible portion from Luke 21:1-4 – The Widow’s Mite set the foundation for our Sunday school session.
The day began with an engaging and thought-provoking activity titled, ” Who Gets the Real Joy: The Receiver or the Giver? ” Our kids eagerly participated in the practical game, which helped them understand the deeper joy found in giving. Through this, they discovered the best part of being generous and learned the key difference between an offering and a sacrifice.
Here are the key learning outcomes they took home:

  1.  It’s not about how much we give, but how we give.
  2.  It’s not just an offering, but a sacrifice.
  3.  Give the best to God, not the leftovers.

The children grasped that true generosity is measured by the heart and the sacrifice behind the gift—not the amount given. The widow’s small offering was more valuable in God’s eyes because it reflected her total trust and devotion. Despite her poverty, she gave all she had, demonstrating profound faith and reliance on God. Her example inspires kids to trust God fully, even when they feel they have little. See you all next week with interesting topic!
